In the first phase of The Wilson Files Project my work centre's around a figure that I have constructed in order to tell my story of being a mental health carer for a relative with a 'Drugs Induced Psychosis' diagnosis and how this has become a long term mental illness. It is the story of my connection with the illness and what I have seen, heard, felt, observed and experienced. My work responds to the medical interventions and processes that have taken place in the treatment of my relative as well as the day-to-day care, management and challenges that frequently present themselves.
