In my work, I explore the different experiences that I have encountered throughout my life. The thread that runs through my work at its core is Energy and Matter, Yin and Yang, Movement and Stillness, Seen and Unseen. Collectively this is Taiji the Dance of the Universe reflecting many different situations and configurations.
To put it simply, life’s changes and challenges.

My journey began in North London where I was born and grew up. My teachers discovered I had a talent for drawing Sabre Tooth tigers at junior school. I soon became hooked on drawing and spent many hours drawing and painting horses (I’d moved on from drawing Sabre Tooth Tiger’s) until I got completely absorbed with art classes at secondary school which were my favorite lessons.
I went on to study an art foundation course at Hornsey College of Art, followed by a printed textile design course at Middlesex Polytechnic. In 1990 I decided to study Fine Art at Hertfordshire University in Hatfield Hertfordshire. I completed my Fine Art Degree in 1994. Since then I have taken courses in advanced creative practice at the Mary Ward center.
I have taught Art and Tai Chi Classes over many years to Adults in FE Colleges and Privately. Currently I am devoting more time to my Art practice. I have developed Relax Into Art Creativity Workshops. These workshops bring Taiji movement and mindfulness together with making art.
Details of Relax Into Art Creativity workshops to follow shortly.
